Can't wait for the rains to arrive

A bit last night, not enough to get the mulch good and wet. Forecast had it coming down before sunrise, I've yet to see it.

    The World Famous Hayward Mango.

Dean - The Caribbean alliance mangos get a lot of rain, but are spelled since the winter season is usually dry. The cultivars from Asia may be more suited to your conditions. They are typically smaller fruit and have a more succulent less fibrous flesh. Not conducive for commercial production...

    The World Famous Hayward Mango.

Good salesman. Most mango cultivars that are in active growth flush succulent purple/maroon leaves. They stiffen and green up rather quickly.

Can't wait for the rains to arrive

Bad forecast - not a drop. Today's forecast looks very promising for afternoon precipitation continuing straight through 'til tomorrow. The 400 lbs. of mineral supplements awaits you. :D

Idea on the Newport Beach coco.

Agreed Dean. While we South Florida can successfully grow Coconuts, Dypsis baronii struggles here. I'd rather have a beautiful Dypsis baronii then a Coconut. Dypsis baronii does well in many California locations. To have an ratty struggling Coconut over a Dypsis baronii escapes me. There are so...

    Croton Fertilization Guide

The formula from Harrell's for the crotons is 16-6-11. Tried to edit my previous post but the 15 minute edit window had expired. Thought Dean was going to alter the software to extend the edit time to 30 minutes. The micronutrients listed are as follows: Magnesium 1.3 % water soluble Copper...

    Croton Fertilization Guide

Went to Harrell's this past Friday. Could not for the life of me recall the blend Mike was using (see above). I ended up with a slow release 16- -11 with minors, 6 month formula which will last realistically 5 months with the elevated temps of the growing season. Should be good until November...

Can't wait for the rains to arrive

Been hand watering every day. The spider mite problem is somewhat in check now. It was so brutally hot this afternoon with no cloud cover. Picked up palm special (150 lbs.), K-Mag (100 lbs.) and some 120 day time released from Harrell's (150 lbs.) for the crotons. Getting it all down tomorrow -...
