For those of us that have Frank Brown's second edition of Crotons of the World, take good care of it. One is for sale on eBay at $200 and only one is on American Book Exchange (ABE) and that's listed at $200 also!

Why the jump in price? Dr. Brown's passing?

Beats me. Worth checking out bookstores at any botanical gardens, bookstores, etc. that you may visit. The Smithsonian published a nice book on heliconias a few years back; it was out of print, and the price skyrocketed - and then crashed when it was reprinted. I wonder who may hold the copyright to Dr. Brown's book.
